2020年全球新冠疫情的爆发让人们开始更多地思考什么才是世界“正常”的样貌。2021年距离联合国为实现可持续发展目标设立的期限2030年仅剩9年。从当下跨越到可持续的未来，我们需要怎样行动？

面对这一发问，BRIDGE（Better Responsibility Initiative – Design for Good Earth）可持续设计行动聚焦于联合国“可持续发展目标”，凝聚海内外高校学子，发起校企合作，意欲用设计的语言解构“可持续发展目标”，用设计的力量共建可持续桥梁。

具体而言，BRIDGE行动将以5个“可持续发展目标”为主要设计命题和讨论对象。它们是“优质教育”、“体面工作经济增长”、“产业、创新和基础设施”、“可持续城市和永续社区”、“责任消费和生产”。

BRIDGE行动由浙江大学发起，是对《浙江大学可持续发展行动计划》的积极响应。2021年03月，浙江大学推出《浙江大学可持续发展行动计划》，将学校自身发展融入全球议程，为国家落实2030议程贡献“浙大智慧”，助力打造全球可持续发展的“中国样板”。

In 2020, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic made people think more about what on earth a “normal” world should be. In 2021, there are only nine years left until 2030, the deadline set by the United Nations to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What actions should we take to build a bridge to a sustainable future?In response to this question, the BRIDGE (Better Responsibility Initiative – Design for Good Earth) Sustainable Design Action focuses on the SDGs. It brings together design talents from universities and companies around the world to address the SDGs using the design language, attempting to “construct” a bridge to a sustainable future through the lens of design.

Concretely, the BRIDGE Action focuses on 5 SDGs. They are “Quality Education”, “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, “Sustainable Cities and Communities”, and “Sustainable Consumption and Productions”, which will serve as the main design themes and subjects for discussion.

The BRIDGE Action is hosted by Zhejiang University under the Sustainability Action Plan: A Global ZJU for Social Good (Z4G). In March 2021, Zhejiang University has launched Z4G in response to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, aspiring to make a distinctive and positive impact by strengthening its commitment to the SDGs.
